NFL Betting odds week 8

Halfway through the 2010 NFL regular season, the matchups for week eight may comprise the most interesting slate of games yet – bet on them at quality online sportsbooks BetUS and BroburySports.

The marquee game – particularly as far as fantasy team owners are concerned as well – pits Randy Moss and his new team, the Minnesota Vikings, against his old team. However, with no word on whether Brett Favre will play, neither BetUS or BroburySports are taking bets on the game as of Friday.

In a battle of many pundits’ pre-season Super Bowl pick, the New York Jets are looking good while the Packers are not quite; the visiting Packers are getting a six-point handicap. The best bet on this game? Considering the top-flight Jets D and the fact that the Green Bay offense has managed just 30 points in their last two road games combined, take the under in BetUS’ over/under line of 41.5.

Another popular preseason pick, the defending champion New Orleans Saints, has seen its stock drop so low – due mainly, but not entirely, to an abysmal offensive line – that this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers they’re giving just 1.5 points at home at BroburySports.

And the Cowboys? Well, they’re facing the only team more beaten up than them at quarterback right now, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and are thus seven-point favorites at home.
