Bet on the 2010 ICC World Twenty20

The 2010 ICC World Twenty20 is the third International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 cricket competition to be held. This international event takes place every two years, bringing together 12 all-male teams from all Test-playing nations.

Test is the longest version of the game, and is generally considered to be a “test” of skill and endurance. A single match can last up to six days, with six hours of play time each day. All countries that play Test on a national level automatically qualify for the event, while the few remaining spots are filled by teams who take part though a qualifier tournament.

The 2010 ICC World Twenty20 is taking place in the West Indies from 30 April to 16 May. Though the event is meant to take place every two years, this ICC World Twenty20 is happening less than a year after the previous one because the 2008 Champions Trophy tournament in Pakistan was postponed due to security concerns.

Matches will be played at three grounds throughout the West Indies – Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados; Providence Stadium in Providence, Guyana; and Beausejour Stadium in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. All 10 Test-playing nations (Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, England, and West Indies) have sent teams; Afghanistan and Ireland are also represented after earning a spot through the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier.

Pakistan are the current champions, having beat Sri Lanka in the last ICC World Twenty20 competition. This year, most online bookmakers have Australia favored to win, and so far this seems like a good prediction. Bettors in across Europe are advised to use Bet365 Sports or Paddy Power for wagering on the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, while those in the US should check out Bodog, or BetUS Sportsbook.
