Betfair receives a new face in the world of professional poker - Hans Martin Vogl will now be the ambassador for the sportsbook at major tournaments.

The German poker pro is a highly successful Sit & Go, MTT and cash player know to fellow poker fans as “Birdie”. Hans Martin Vogl has first been noticed in 2006, when he qualified online for the Betfair Asian Poker Tour and reached the final table, winning $58,300.

The international acknowledgement came after he reached the final table at the Aussie Millions Main Event back in 2007, once again qualifying through Betfair, and take home the honors for 5th place and AUD$ 400,000 in cash.
