Bwin.party and Ladbrokes intend to apply for Spanish gaming licenses

Renowned gaming operators including Bwin.party and Ladbrokes were among the first four to confirm their intentions to enter Spanish gaming market.

Recent report suggests the Bwin.party and Ladbrokes as well as two other gaming operators have already confirmed that they will be applying for licenses once the Spanish market is open. Other operators are expected to follow shortly.

Some industry experts raised doubts about the Spanish market’s performance and attractiveness. Unreasonably high level of gaming taxes (25% on gross profit) could make operator’s life quite difficult in Spain. Spanish gaming market is expected to be open in December 2011.
