In a recent interview, the new marketing chief of Bodog Europe shared his views on the future of Bodog brand in Europe.
Former Visa and Sony Ericsson marketing professional Dee Dutta, the new marketing chief of Bodog spoke of the company’s plans to introduce a wide range of new services. This will be possible thanks to multi-million pound marketing injection aimed at grabbing a larger piece of highly lucrative European online casino and sports betting markets.
Dutta told media that Bodog Europe contemplates setting up a new UK company as early as 2012, after the company received three licenses from the UK Gambling Commission. Online casino offerings will be extended with a live-dealer casino gaming, while horse racing will also find its wait to the brand.
The marketing team will be bumped up to 40 instead of the current 20 to cope with increasing workload.
Dutta told the press: “The UK is the largest regulated market in the world today and we want to be part of that. The decision was not taken on market share. The key thing is to develop trust with the UK customer. This is one of the most important things for the industry.”
He went on to add that online casino gaming will receive increased attention since it’s a division, which is a “hugely neglected part of the online gaming space despite being the highest profit generator by far.”
