The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) reviewed the latest JackpotJoy internet display ad and ruled that the ad is misleading. The ad read: “Deposit GBP10 get GBP20 plus a guaranteed win up to GBP10,000! Join now and we’ll double your deposit.”

A complaint has been made that the ad didn’t make it clear that a deposit was needed in order to take advantage of the offer. ASA took the side of the complainant and said that the requirement to make a deposit should appear in the ad, rather than in the terms and conditions.
