Ladbrokes published financial figures for Northern Ireland

No need to worry for members of Ladbrokes in Northern Ireland, despite the bookmaker posting a slightly lower profit in 2010 compared to 2009.

Ladbrokes Holdings has 24 percent of all Northern Ireland’s market through its subsidiary Northwest Bookmakers. The sportsbook has recently published its financial results for the year 2010. Pre-tax profits came down to GBP 6.4 million, down on 2009 figure. Turnover was GBP 265 million compared to GBP 262 in 2009.

The sportsbook reported that the average bet in 2010 was GBP 9.22, a decrease of 11p from the year 2009. The workforce was reduced from 470 to 457 through restructuring and normal attrition.

The Ladbrokes’ subsidiary, Northwest Bookmakers, was established back in 2008, when Ladbrokes purchased the Eastwood chain of shops and merged it with its existing outlets.
