A new director of public affairs will fill his position with online sportsbook Betfair starting from January 2012.

Matt Lambert is the latest newcomer to renowned online sportsbook Betfair. He will be taking on the responsibilities of the director of public affairs come 2012. Lambert has previously worked as director of corporate affairs and citizenship at Microsoft Britain. The exec boasts over 25 years of professional experience.

At Betfair Lambert will oversee the strategy and implementation of the sportsbook’s global public affairs strategy. In the course of his Microsoft years, Lambert was responsible for the company’s political relations, community affairs and environmental practice across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
