2010 champions league final

Said to be the most-watched annual sports event in the world, the 55th UEFA Champions League final pits Inter Milan against Bayern Munchen for European soccer supremacy Saturday night.

The sides are among the most celebrated in Champions League history, with the first Inter Milan appearance in the final coming in 1958 and its first win in ’63. The Italians last won this title in 2007 but have since switched coaches and have seen its roster evolve a bit, including the noteworthy addition of Ronaldinho in 2008.

Bayern München has played in the League 26 times and is most known for its threepeat in the 70s led by the likes of Franz Beckenbauer, Sepp Maier, Uli Hoeneß, Gerd Müller and Franz “The Bull” Roth.

In focus at this year’s final in Madrid will be the battle between managers: Bayern’s Louis van Gaal has won the competition with Ajax in 1995, and Inter coach José Mourinho led Porto to the 2004 title. And just to make things a bit more interesting, both teams have completed two legs of “The Treble,” having taken both Cup and League championships in their domestic leagues.

This year, Inter is a heavy favorite again over the slightly surprising Bayern München. Bodog is offering shorter odds on both, with Inter at 1.53 to 1, and München at 2.37. Intertops is going longer, with odds at 2.20 for Inter and 3.10 to München. Odds on a draw result after extra time are also set at 3.10 at Intertops. Lots of live odds will be offered as well.
