During a phase tournament, different players can choose to enter the game at different stages. To get into stage one, a player can either buy in for $4, stake $0.42 and win a one-hand satellite game against 10 players, or stake just $0.27 and win a lottery against 32 players. In the standard Phase Tournament, there are five phases. Each hand is against 10 players, except in the final phase where there are only 6. Players who come out on top advance to the next stage.
