Play in heads-up match with ISILDUR1 in PokerStars SuperStar Showdown

“Isildur1” is the newest member of Team Poker Stars Pro.

In 2009, a poker player known only as Isildur1 came out of the shadows to conquer some of the world’s most successful heads-up poker players. Since that time, nobody knows who he is or where he came from, though we may suppose he is not the seven foot tall son of Elendil in the Lord of the Rings. Is he a seasoned professional poker veteran taking his offline skills into online poker rooms? Is he a rich playboy with a poker calculator and nearly infinite time and wealth to devote towards developing himself at games of poker?

When queried why he joined Team PokerStars Pro, Isildur1 responded “I chose to join PokerStars because it's the biggest site and it will be an exciting challenge. My goals now are to improve my live game for some upcoming events, continue to focus on heads-up no-limit Hold’em, but also try to develop my pot-limit Omaha game.”

Whoever he is and whatever he is about, expectations are rising that as a member of Team PokerStars Pro, Isildur1’s true identity shall be revealed to online poker rooms in the near future.

Since December 19th, Isildur1 has been playing in the PokerStars SuperStar Showdown, a high-stakes heads-up match, where 2,500 hands are played in a single session. The high-rollers play across four tables of Pot Limit Omaha and No Limit Hold’em with stakes never below $50. To win, the player can either merely show profit after all 2,500 hands or possess the opponent’s entire bankroll.
