Playboy Casino closing

Playboy Casino and Playboy Poker have announced that they will be closing down their operations at the end of January 2009.

Launched just before the UIGEA regulation, Playboy Casino was never able to cater to its primary market of interest – USA. Their software provider, CryptoLogic, pulled out of US market immediately after the anti-gambling legislation went into effect.

Playboy Gaming attempted to entertain to European players and players from the rest of the world but the brand appeal wasn’t strong enough to be able to do it successfully. The recent financial crisis hasn’t helped either as the Playboy brand is looking to cut down on financial costs. Consequently, 2 years after its launch, Playboy Gaming is shutting down!

For online casino variety’s sake they will be missed. However, you can still enjoy the same games (plus more!) at InterCasino with a much bigger $225 signup bonus too!
