Swedish gambling giant Betsson continues its impressive growth

Betsson AB, a Swedish gambling giant, has published its Q3 2011 financial figurers revealing impressive increase in key indicators.

Q3 financials for Betsson cover the period from Jan 1 to Sep 30, 2011 and shows a steady increase in all key elements. Revenues made up SEK 465.7 million (Q3 2010 – SEK 385.1 million), operating margin is up to 32.8% (21% in Q3 2010).

Operating income climbed to SEK 152.8 million (SEK 80.7 last year), making it a whopping 89 percent increase. Income before tax is now SEK 146.5 million (only SEK 80.7 million a year before). Net income amounted to SEK 138.4 million (Q3  2010 – 76.3 million). The number of registered members is now 3.4 million, an increase of 21% from 2.8 million last year.

The company spokesperson revealed three new B2B partnerships and told media that Betsson has applied for operation licenses in Denmark and Italy, the freshly opened gaming markets.

President and CEO of Betsson, Magnus Silfverberg, commented the results: “The B2C segment is displaying the highest level of underlying activity which we have ever seen and the B2B segment has launched three new collaborations. At the same time, we are adapting the Group to comply with new regulations across Europe. Being able to make these changes while posting good results is proof of our strength.”
