Tottenham humiliated by online sportsbooks odds against Chelsea

Tottenham v Chelsea English Premier League

Chelsea hopes to keep its title hopes alive this Saturday, when the Blues host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. With a win, Chelsea would be just three points behind Manchester United on the English Premier League table.

JackpotFinder-approved online bookmakers Sportsbook.com, bet365 and Unibet like Chelsea's chances. In fact, all three above-mentioned sportsbooks offer an identical 1/2 line on Chelsea winning this match – a fairly low line, considering Chelsea is battling numerous injury woes going into the weekend.

Good news for the Blues comes in the fact that Michael Essien, who had to leave last week’s match against West Ham United, sustained only a minor muscle injury and will play against Tottenham. Midfielder Ramires and defenseman Alex are still questionable for the match, however. As of this writing on Thursday, online sportsbooks hadn’t even posted the popular “Goalscorer” proposition bet odds so uncertain is Chelsea’s composition.

And with such uncertainty, not only is betting on a draw – at odds right around 3/1 at the three online sportsbooks, bet365 offers the most generous at 10/3 – tempting, but the over/under line might be worth a look as well. At Unibet, the odds on “over 2.5 goals” are at 1.70 while the under is 2.05. Neither side is particularly high-scoring in general and despite expectations of a shootout, this one could well feature a single goal scored.
