RealTime Gaming has been around since 1998, but they had a slow start, and it took a while for their software to gain recognition. Their focus has always been on realism, and they strive to produce games that look and play as close to the "real thing" as possible. Today, because they allow their casinos to choose whether to accept players from the US or not, RealTime Gaming is growing fast. They support one of the three largest progressive jackpot networks on the internet, and offer just under 100 games in total. There are currently about 50 internet casinos that run off of RealTime Gaming software.

History

RealTime Gaming (RTG) entered the industry in 1998 with a slogan "Take Gaming Seriously". Their vision was to provide more a realistic and life-like online casino experience. Their late start, combined with the fact that they came into the field of online gaming during a boom time, meant things started off quite slow for them. RTG faced massive competition, but they managed to keep afloat for the next few years. They caught their big break in 2006, when the US passed the UIGEA, an online gambling act that scared away many of the larger casino software companies. RTG remained, allowing their casinos to keep accepting US players, and are now growing in recognition and popularity because of it.
