French Open odds indicate Nadal-Federer battle, wide open ladies’ side

Internazionali BNL d’Italia Tennis Coming to Rome

Click to playThe annual Internazionali BNL d’Italia is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event, and is part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour. This men’s clay court competition is held every year in Rome. The 2010 event is scheduled to kick off on Monday April 26, and will last through the first week of May. Online sportsbooks around the world have already published their odds for the first few days of the event, and will continue to update the listings as the tournament progresses.

The first event in this series was held in 1930 in Milan, but moved to the Foro Italico in Rome just a few years later. The series saw a hiatus between 1936 and 1949, but in 1050 it started up again, and has been held every year since. At the time, it was known simply as the Italian Open, and it retained this name up until 2002.

Nadal aims for sixth straight Monte-Carlo Masters title

Click to playThis year marks the 103rd Monte-Carlo Masters, a men’s tennis tournament that takes place in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France. This French commune borders Monco, where Monte Carlo can be found.

The Monte-Carlo Masters is part of the ATP Masters Series. This annual springtime event has been running since 1897, but has only been an open event since 1969. The tournament is an ourdoors event played on clay courts.

This year’s Monte-Carlo Masters runs from the 11th to the 18th of April, with the Singles and Doubles Finals both running on the afternoon of the 18th. An estimated €2,750,000 in prize money will be offered to top players.
