WagerWorks is the online subsidiary of International Game Technology, one of the largest slots manufacturers in the world. The company has a bumpy history, and has tumbled through many mergers and acquisitions over the years. Despite these obstacles, the company is quickly developing into a leader in the online gaming software market. History

WagerWorks began life in 2005 as a subsidiary of the slot machine manufacturer Silicon Gaming. Not long after the formation of WagerWorks, Silicon Gaming was bought out by International Game Technology (IGT), the largest slot manufacturer in the world. IGT made WagerWorks a separate entity, and let it focus on more than just slots. Since then, WagerWorks has been building business partnerships and forging exclusive rights contracts with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business. They have made a niche for themselves by only producing Flash games that don’t need to be downloaded or installed.
