In the excellent James Bond film, Casino Royale, the casino table games were filled with tension. The camera like to dwell over the bluff and tell of the tense situations. But at the real-life casino, a player who can make good use of a poker tell will stand a better chance of winning. But this doesn't mean that a poker tell is easy to spot. Many seasoned players will try to disguise their behaviour with yet more bluffs and double bluffs. For the casual player understanding these is not easy.

Bluffing and semi-bluffing are all part and parcel of the game of poker. You're trying to deceive the other players into folding before you, even if you don't possess a winning hand. Of course, the last person standing wins, no matter the quality of their hand.
