But, though there is a real chemical reason for their serious gambling habits, it also revolves around losing to a certain extent. That's because losing gives the same dopamine rush as winning. And that's why casino players find it so hard to walk away from a losing streak. In effect, they are getting the same euphoric rush as if they were winning.
