Roulette Touch and Go System: An Introduction

Before we dive into the basics of the Roulette Touch & Go system, it is important to first understand the game of roulette. That is why we will break this article into two different sections. The first section will be about the rules of the game and the second will be about the system itself. If you already understand the rules, skip through to the second part of this article. Alternatively, you can always try this system at our latest jackpot ratings.

The Basic Rules of Roulette

Roulette is one of the oldest and most popular casino games. The game focuses on a rotating wheel that has either 37 or 38 numbered segments within it (depending on the version of the game). A ball is spun inside of the wheel and the result is determined by the coloured numbered pocket that it stops at.

In every roulette game, numbers 1 to 36 are either red or black and there is a single green 0. In American Roulette, there is an additional 00, taking the total of 37 numbers to 38. Players bet on where they believe the ball will land before it is released into the wheel. Bets are placed in the betting area and can be either Inside Bets or Outside Bets. Below, we cover the difference between the two.

Inside Bets

These are bets that are placed within the betting area on the numbers. There are a variety of different inside bets that you could place, including:

  • Straight Up Bets – a bet on a single number. It pays 35:1.
  • Split Bets – a bet on two adjoining numbers. It pays 17:1.
  • Street Bets – a bet that covers three numbers. It pays 11:1.
  • Corner Bets – A bet on four numbers that are joined by their corners. It pays 8:1.
  • Line Bets – A bet on two neighbouring streets, covering a total of six numbers. It pays 6:1.
  • Basket Bets – A bet on the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2, 3. It is exclusive to American Roulette. It pays 5:1.

Outside Bets

roulette

These are bets that are placed on the perimeter of the numbered betting area. It covers groups of numbers and has a greater chance of winning. It includes:

  • Column Bet – A bet that covers one of the three columns on the betting area. There are 12 numbers in a column. It pays 2:1.
  • Dozen Bet – A bet on a group of 12 numbers. The three groups of numbers include 1-12, 13-24 and 25-36. These are known as the 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd It pays 2:1.
  • Red/Black Bet – A bet that covers all of the red or black numbers on the wheel. It pays 1:1.
  • Even/Odd Bet – A bet that covers all of the even or odd numbers on the wheel. It pays 1:1.
  • Low/High Bet – A bet that covers all of the lower or higher numbers on the wheel. The lower numbers are 1-18 and the higher numbers are 19-36. It pays 1:1.

The Roulette Touch & Go System

The Roulette Touch & Go system is a betting strategy that requires players to do two things, to study the layout of numbers on the roulette wheel and keep an eye on the outcome of the previous results. It is rewarding when successful, as the betting strategy requires players to place straight up bets on the numbers. As mentioned above, straight up bets pay 35:1 when the ball lands on a winning number.

In all live roulette variants, players will see a scoreboard that has the history of the previous 16 or 20 rounds. Based on the outcomes, players should identify numbers that are adjacent to one another on the roulette wheel. It is important to keep an eye on numbers that are placed next to each other on the wheel, not numbers that are adjacent on the betting area.

For instance, numbers 1 and 2 are adjacent in the betting area. However, the two numbers are located in the complete opposite sides of the wheel. Below, we have listed the sequence of numbers on a European/French Roulette wheel and American Roulette wheel.

European & French Roulette Wheel Sequence

0 – 32 – 15 – 19 – 4 – 21 – 2 – 25 – 17 – 34 – 6 – 27 – 13 – 36 – 11 – 30 – 8 – 23 – 10 – 5 – 24 – 16 – 33 – 1 – 20 – 14 – 31 – 9 – 22 – 18 – 29 – 7 – 28 – 12 – 35 – 3 – 26

On European and French Roulette wheels, 0 is adjacent to numbers 32 and 26.

American Roulette Wheel Sequence

0 – 28 – 9 – 26 – 30 – 11 – 7 – 20 – 32 – 17 – 5 – 22 – 34 – 15 – 3 – 24 – 36 – 13 – 1 – 00 – 27 – 10 – 25 – 29 – 12 – 8 – 19 – 31 – 18 – 6 – 21 – 33 – 16 – 4 – 23 – 35 – 14 – 2

As seen above, 0 and 00 sit in opposite corners of the wheel. The 1 is adjacent to 00 and 0 is adjacent to 2.

The Scoreboard

Imagine that you have joined a live American Roulette game and have glanced at the scoreboard. The scoreboard in this game shows the results of the previous 16 rounds. The numbers on the board are:

To use the Roulette Touch & Go system, you will have to identify the numbers that are adjacent to each other on the wheel and place straight up bets on them. We have identified those numbers above by highlighting them.

How to use the Touch & Go System

As seen above, there are various combinations for straight up bets that you can place on the table. The combinations of numbers adjacent to each other on the wheel are 28/9/26, 00/1 and 3/24. To use the betting system, you should continue to bet on these numbers until the combinations are no longer present on the scoreboard.

Thus, when referring to the example above, the first combination that will end is the 3/24, as 24 is close to leaving the scoreboard. However, as new numbers enter the scoreboard, you could potentially find new pairs or groups of numbers that are adjacent.

When analysing the chart, you can also see that there is a trio of numbers in 28/9/26. Whenever there is a group of numbers that are all adjacent to each other, you should bet on all of those numbers.

Does the Strategy Increase your Winning Chances?

Essentially, the strategy – just like the Martingale and other betting systems – does not increase your chances of winning. However, it does give you an incentive to learn more about the wheel, place straight up bets on the table and hope that previously successful partnering pockets on the wheel will result in more wins.

How to Bet on the Roulette System?

roulette

The best way to benefit from the Roulette Touch & Go system is by placing straight up bets on all of the numbers. However, it can become an expensive system to follow if you place straight up bets on all of the pairing numbers.

Based on the example above, you would have to place straight up bets on numbers 26, 28, 9, 00, 1, 3 and 24. Thus, if you are betting $10 per number, that is a total of $70 per round. If there are many pairing numbers on the scoreboard, you should try to reduce your stake and cover all of the numbers, rather than stick to a higher stake and leave out a pair or two.

However, this is a bankroll management strategy and if you prefer to ignore a pair, you can choose to do so. Ultimately, if one of the numbers lands, you will win 35:1 from one of your many bets.

In most instances, there are only two pairs of numbers on the scoreboard. It is rare to see many numbers covered but it can certainly happen – after all, every spin is completely random. The best method of success is covering all numbers as the rounds go by and looking for new combinations as the older numbers fall from the scoreboard.

How to Manage Your Bankroll

The strategy works best when you place straight up bets on the adjacent pairs or groups of numbers. However, if you can find various numbers that are adjacent on the betting area, you could place split bets on these numbers. However, in doing so, you will win 17:1 on a successful bet, as opposed to 35:1.

The best way to use the Roulette Touch & Go system is to reduce your stake but make sure that you are placing straight up bets on all of the numbers in the scoreboard. Although this system does not guarantee success, it helps players find combinations on the wheel that can be bet on in the betting area. The aim of the strategy is to find hot areas on the wheel that have landed in previous rounds.

The Bottom Line

The Roulette Touch & Go system is one way to place straight up bets on any roulette variant. It creates a more exciting nature when placing straight up bets on popular roulette games.
