The name Casanova is synonymous with being a great lover. And though he certainly had a well-known reputation for bedding women, much of this appeared to be a phycological rouse in order to secure funds for gambling. In many ways, his gambling behavior would be considered as being that of someone with a serious gambling addiction. He would seduce and then convince women to give him huge sums of money which he would lose almost instantly. Furthermore, he was a terribly bad loser.
