But if you do some research, it's possible to find many peculiar and interesting sporting events and activities from around the globe that offer something new and original. Unfortunately it's often not possible to place bets on these events as they are not officially recognised by the sportsbooks. However, they are all still great fun.

It's a given that all athletes want to succeed. But sometimes, the pressure to win can be someone's undoing. Whether it's taking performance-enhancing drugs or simply taking things to a point of no return, it's no surprise that some athletes have met their own demise on their chosen playing field. Also, with huge sums of sponsorship money involved, there's an ever-present drive to be the best. Sometimes this results in serious injury or even death. Especially when partaking in dangerous sports.
