Though the media have formulated an image of what a casino should be like, it's all fake. The is little in the way of glamour and glitz as you can even go in wearing your trainers and slacks. Fifty years ago, money was pretty much confined to the well-educated rich. But now anyone can be rich enough to splash out at the casino, and these are not the type of folks who enjoy dressing up, preferring to dress down. So casino dress code policy has had to change with the times.
