Coming from a background steeped in racism and poverty, it's no surprise that Bumpy Johnson was driven to become a monster and violent crime boss. Yet beneath the surface, the suffering of his youth left an indelible mark on the way he treated others who were much less well off when he became successful. He would give gifts, and even send the children of poor families to college. Though he spent much of his life in prison, he's still remembered with a mixture of both affection and revulsion.

A recently arrested father and his two sons were by far the most "winningest" players in the history of the Massachusetts State Lottery. In fact, they managed to win $21 million over an 8 year period. What they were doing with the lottery isn't illegal as such. They would simply buy winning tickets from those who couldn't afford to pay their State debts, such as child support or outstanding taxes. But they falsified their tax returns to hide their huge profits. Even worse they got tax rebates.
