Thor Betting Odds And Predictions

Well, the summer holiday season is upon us. This means that it’s time for a Marvel film to be released. And so in keeping with this tradition, Thor: Love & Thunder was released on July 8th. With the MCU’s ever-growing portfolio this movie marks the fourth Thor instalment. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen Thor in Ragnarok which came out way back in 2017. As you all know, a huge amount has happened in the MCU since then. It is a funny thing…but you can actually bet on the latest Thor film. Yes, Thor betting is a thing! And you can actually win the jackpot online if you’re careful with your betting choices.

So if you were to head over to your favourite betting sites like Bodog Casino in advance of the movie’s release, you’ll find the Thor: Love & Thunder odds. If you’re not a film betting man, then you’re probably wondering what on earth you can bet on in a Thor movie? So today we thought we’d enlighten you as we take a look at the bets that were made on the Norse God of Thunder. This will be the actor Chris Hemsworth’s eighth appearance as Thor. Love & Thunder is the fourth standalone Thor movie. Luckily for fans, Hemsworth has insisted that he still loves playing Thor. Considering how tightly Disney controls their actors means that the character still has a lot of movie mileage to go.

Thor Betting: Love & Thunder Cast

It appears that the public can never get enough of Marvel movies. If you think about it, there is an almost limitless number of characters available. And considering that there’s also an almost unlimited amount of money behind each film, it’s no surprise that the studios churn them out so regularly. We should mention that for Love & Thunder, having a massive $250 million dollar budget certainly helps things along.

Before the film was released everybody knew that Hemsworth would return to the title role. It was a given that Tessa Thompson would also return as a Valkyrie after being in Ragnarok. The character of Jane Foster, who’s played by Natalie Portman, is also back for her fourth appearance.

Other Hollywood A-Listers

Nevertheless, with such a huge budget it’s not surprising that the film’s producers have aimed to attract other major Hollywood A-listers. We know that Christian Bale will make his MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher. Apparently, he is the main villain in the movie. Likewise, we’ll see the Australian Russell Crowe also making his first appearance in an MCU movie. Just to mix up the mythologies, he will play the Greek God Zeus.

We also know that a number of actors from the Guardians of the Galaxy including Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt, and Karen Gillan, will also make cameo appearances. Finally, we’ll also get to see a cameo from Chris Hemsworth’s brother, Luke. Let’s have a look at some of the betting odds.

Thor Betting: Will Thor Die?

  • Yes (+250)
  • No (-500)

If you think back, it’s quite clear that Marvel writers are not afraid to kill off major characters. Probably the most noticeable was Robert Downey Jr who played Iron Man. Then we have Chris Evans as Captain America who tired of his role and passed his shield onto the actor Anthony Mackie. Who, we must confess, did a terrible job in the latest woke Captain America instalment, Captain America and the Winter Soldier from Disney+.

In the original Marvel comic books, Thor has died a number of times. But as you well know, today’s movies have very little to do with the original stories. To that end, if you’re thinking of Thor betting, you should perhaps take the idea of Thor meeting his end in this movie with a very large pinch of salt.

There’s Still Lots Of Milage In The Franchise

Loki

As far as the previous Thor movies go, it could be said that Thor has already experienced his first personal losses. After all, we saw the death of his father, Odin, his mother Frigga, and his brother Loki. In the present movie, Christian Bale’s character is named Gore the God Butcher. It doesn’t take two brain cells to guess that his purpose is to exterminate every God including Thor. But because Chris Hemsworth has publicly expressed his desire to continue playing the character, we very much doubt that he will be dying in this present movie. Of course, the actor is known to be a bit of a joker, so it might be quite possible that he’s just stringing the audience along. But then again, everything any Disney actor says is scripted after being reviewed by an army of lawyers.

How Many Planets Will Thor Visit?

  • 1 (+2000)
  • 2 (+1600)
  • 3 (+250)
  • 4 (+150)
  • 5 (+150)
  • 6 or More (+250)

Yes, it sounds kind of bonkers, but you could bet on the number of planets Thor will visit in the next movie. If you’ve seen the trailer, then you already know that he does a fair bit of travelling. And consider the movie has a 119-minute runtime, then there’s plenty of time to visit any number of locations. The odds of Thor visiting just one planet were at +2000 with Bodog Casino. The odds of him visiting two planets were +1,600. If you think about it, both the planet Earth and Asgard must appear in the movie. So it’s perfectly reasonable to assume that Zeus is going to appear on a planet based around ancient Greece, as opposed to Thor’s home planet, the Nine Realms.

So we think that there are a minimum of three different planetary visits by the God of Thunder. The Thor betting bookie odds of three visits were +350. Also, four and five visits were at +150 a piece. So they look like quite safe bets. If you imagine he’s going to visit six or more planets, then the odds were +250. We think the best bet to increase your jackpot winning chances would be this last one.

Which Characters Will Make An Appearance?

Kat Dennings

      • Darcy Lewis (+125)
      • Lady Loki (+250)
      • Professor Selvig (+250)
      • Hulk (+275)
      • Nova (+850)
      • Storm (+1000)
      • Scarlet Witch (+1200)

We already know which credited actors are going to make an appearance in Love & Thunder. Yet all MCU movies are full of unexpected cameos. Before the movie’s release, the hot favourite with Thor betting was Darcy Lewis at odds of +125. After all, she was in the first two Thor movies but was missing from Ragnarok. But according to the actress who plays her, Kat Dennings, she has no idea where her character stands in regard to future appearances. As such, this actress has cast some doubt on whether she’ll pop up in Thor’s latest outing.

Thor Betting: Everyone’s Favourite Anti-Hero, Loki

Lady Loki, who’s an alternative version of Thor’s cunning brother, first made an appearance in the awful Disney+ Loki series. Though she hasn’t said too much about it, nevertheless, it’s a fair assumption that at some point they will encounter one another. Professor Selvig had odds off +250 of making a surprise appearance. If you think back, he’s already appeared in the first two Thor movies. As well as three Avenger movies. If you consider his ties to Natalie Portman’s character, then it’s a little surprising that his odds are so long.

Waiting For The Incredible Hulk

When it comes to Thor betting with other characters, then Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner has been a favourite in the franchise as The Incredible Hulk. His odds of an appearance were +275. Nova had odds of +850, Storm of +1000, and the Scarlet Witch was at +1,200, meaning they are all very long shots indeed. In reality, we see no need to jump over the +250 on Selvig showing his face during the movie. Unfortunately, there are no real jackpot winning tips and tricks when it comes to movie betting. It’s a bit like playing the jackpot slots. Just think about the possible storylines and keep your wagers small.
